Archaeology of Portugal Fellowship

Description

The fellowship can be used to support research and study related to the archaeology of Portugal, including the Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira. The fellowship can also be used by Portuguese nationals (archaeologists and archaeology graduate students) to support research and study in the US. Individuals applying for this type of support are not limited to the study of Portuguese archaeology and funds can be used to research and study any archaeological region and topic. To be eligible, applicants from Portugal who already hold Ph.D.ÔÇÖs must have been AIA members in good standing for at least one year by the time of application; Portuguese graduate students must become AIA student members in order to apply for the fellowship. Portuguese graduate students wishing to study in the United States must be enrolled in or have been accepted to an accredited US university or college, and must provide evidence that they have been authorized to travel to and study in the US.
