The Arizona Nursery Association Foundation awards scholarships to worthy students each year. ANAFUND provides financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate college and university students who have demonstrated an interest in the horticulture, agriculture, agriculture education, agribusiness, and landscape architecture field who are from Arizona. The amounts of the scholarships vary, depending on available funds and number of applications. ANAFUND also funds continuing education opportunities for current nursery employees. Applicants must be currently or planning to be enrolled in a horticultural related curriculum at a university, community college or continuing education program. They must be currently employed in or have an interest in the nursery industry as a career. Applicants must also have an above average scholastic achievement or at least two years work experience in the industry; and, display involvement in extra-curricular activities related to the industry. Two letters of recommendation are required, they must be from an ornamental horticulture instructor, counselor, employer, club/activity advisory, community or church leader, dated and signed in the current year.
