The August Trust Academic Scholarship is awarded to a cadet pursuing a post-high school education, including vocational school, technical/career education, two-year or four-year accredited college or university. The applicant must be a AZWG cadet majoring in a STEM or aviation related career. Academic Scholarship applicants must have earned a Billy Mitchell Award or higher before applying. They must be a high school senior, high school graduate, or hold a GED; and must be accepted to a college or school, or provide proof that an application has been made. Applicants must attend a post-secondary school or college and must be enrolled in a course of study during the academic year for which the scholarship is awarded. They must submit at least one but not more than three letters of recommendation written by someone who is familiar with the cadets' accomplishments in CAP. Applicants must also submit a resume detailing any academic, community or CAP activities not addressed on previous tabs of the application. Academic Scholarships are monetary awards used to support CAP Cadets pursuing their undergraduate or graduate education.
