The Balkhi Foundation Higher Education Scholarship seeks to help talented young people make college more attainable through a scholarship. These awards are granted to exceptional high school seniors accepted to a US based college or university. An additional $1000 renewable scholarship will also be awarded to a Florida based student majoring in Education or related fields who have demonstrated a commitment to the Rotary creed of Service Above Self. All Florida applicants to the Balkhi Foundation majoring in education and related fields will be considered for this award, with priority going to applicants from Palm Beach County and the surrounding areas. Current high school seniors with a 3.5 weighted or unweighted GPA with financial need are encouraged to apply.
