Description

$1500 scholarship for men with hemophilia or von Willebrand Disease and their immediate family members. Born with severe hemophilia when treatment for people with bleeding disorders was nonexistent predisposed Ron, as with many of his generation, to a lifetime of pain, struggle for better care, and the fight against stigma and prejudice. Ron endured challenges and faced each with grace and an air of, "I can handle that, no problem." He exemplified the meaning of compassion towards others and practiced more than preached what it meant to be an advocate. He was a great friend and a trusted source of advice and wisdom. RonÔÇÖs commitment to the bleeding disorder community was surpassed only by his love for his family.
