Description

The Charles 'Chubby' Brown Memorial Fund was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation to provide scholarships to graduating seniors of Shaler Area High School who show academic excellence and intend to pursue a two or four-year program of study at a college or university in Pennsylvania. Applicants must attend Shaler Area High School as a graduating senior. Applicants must also pursue a degree or studies in Social Work, Education or Teaching, Policing or Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice, or Healthcare. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Preference will be given to applicants who self-identify as historically underserved students (Asian, Black, African or African American; Hispanic or Latino; or American Indian or Alaska Native; Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander or partial).
