Applicants of the College of Science - Physics & Astronomy - Mary E. Mogge Scholarship must be current students at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona who are majoring in Physics. Applicants must also have an overall GPA of 3.0 or above AND a GPA of 3.0 or above in their major. Applicants must have completed the Cal Poly 2-semester, calculus-based Introductory Physics sequence PHY1510/L & PHY1520/L (or its equivalent) prior to applying and must have completed at least one full semester sophomore or higher-level physics course at Cal Poly prior to applying. Applicants must also prepare a one-page letter addressed to the Department Chair. Preference is given to first generation, diverse and low-income students.
