Distinguished Scholar in Humanities at Maria Curie-Sklodowska University

Description

Award holders will be expected to teach one regular course for undergraduate/graduate students in the Chair of British and American Studies or another academic unit at the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, Maria Curie-Sklodowska University (UMCS). The Distinguished Scholar will be encouraged to give talks at UMCS humanities and social sciences units as well as participate in collaborative research with UMCS scholars. Final grant amounts will be determined prior to the start of the academic year and are subject to the availability of funds. The United States Department of State and the Fulbright Commission in the host country reserve the right to alter, without notice, participating countries, number of awards and allowances. This award is intended for eminent scholars with an excellent record of publications in their respective fields, significant teaching experience, and experience mentoring Ph.D. students. The candidate should hold a Ph.D. in the humanities and have preferably 10 or more years of teaching experience. A letter of invitation is preferred. For more info, kindly visit the award website.
