In order to be considered, applicants must submit either a 500-word essay or a 2-minute video presentation in response to a question. Along with the essay or video, applicants must submit their name, date of birth, mailing address, email address, phone number, proof of enrollment, unofficial transcripts, and a professional photograph of themselves. The selection committee will review all applications and select a winner based on: a clear passion for making a difference in their community; quality of communication, including organization and clarity; and thoughtfulness, originality, and creativity.
