The Empire State Diversity Honors Scholarship is available to graduate/professional students who have demonstrated academic achievement and overcome a disadvantage or other impediment to success in higher education. Candidates will contribute to the diversity of the student body by demonstrating their commitment to facilitating and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in their academic programs and activities. The award will be split evenly between the fall and spring semesters. Applicants must demonstrate how they have overcome a disadvantage or other impediment to success in higher education. Preference will be given to candidates who are from a low-income background, first-generation college students, AmeriCorps alumni, U.S. Veterans, and students enrolled in the SUNY Cortland Honors Program. This scholarship is renewable for a maximum of four academic years (eight academic semesters, excluding summer semesters). Please visit the scholarship's website for more information.
