The ETSU Promise Plus is open to first-time, full-time freshmen eligible for the Tennessee Education Lottery (HOPE) scholarship and the maximum Pell Grant. If any tuition and program-service-fee costs are left after these funds have been applied, ETSU pays them for Promise Plus Scholars. The program covers any tuition and program services costs left over after the Pell Grant and HOPE scholarships are applied. The amount of funding provided varies from student to student and depends on other public funding you are receiving. The Promise Plus Scholars program does not pay for books or course fees. There is no separate application needed. The admission application deadline for Fall 2025 is August 21, 2025, and the deadline for Spring 2026 is January 15, 2026.
