Fulbright Distinguished Scholar Awards, Interdisciplinary Network

Description

This award is pre-arranged affiliations to host exceptional scholars who conduct research relevant to any of five Brazilian partner universities countrywide. These partner universities are interested in hosting Distinguished Scholars and encouraging them to engage with students, faculty, and the broader community. The five awards are Fulbright Award in Racial Studies at the Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA); Fulbright Award in Law and Political Sciences at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG); Fulbright Award in Sustainability at the Universidade Federal do Para (UFPA); Fulbright Award in Languages and Identities at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC); and Fulbright Award in International Relations. at the Universidade de Brasilia (UnB). A letter of invitation should not be sought. Candidates can contact the partner university to discuss their research projects and plans and explore shared interests. Applicants will not be at a disadvantage if they do not communicate with the partner university before applying. Applicants must have a PhD or other terminal degree. They must be Mid-Career Academics or Senior Academics. Preference will be given to tenured faculty.
