This award supports projects that seek to advance cutting-edge applied science, kick start innovative business collaborations that foster the creation of new jobs, or further the development of impact-driven emergent technologies. Areas of Interest are Health Sciences excluding Psychiatry, Dentistry, General Practice, Nutrition, Psychology, and Fitness; Natural Sciences; Formal Sciences; and Professions and Applied Sciences. A letter of invitation from the applicantÔÇÖs proposed institution with their application is required. Applicants must have a PhD or other terminal degree. Postdoctoral candidates can apply in the last year of their PhD, or within 5 years after its completion. Preference will be given to tenured faculty.
