The Hans Kaunitz Award recognizes students conducting research related to fats, oils and detergent technology. Students may receive US $1,000 honorarium and up to a $500 travel allowance. Applicants must be graduate students attending a university within the United States who have been actively involved in research dealing with fats, oils, proteins, surfactants and related materials, with a high aptitude for research; and not previously received the Hans Kaunitz Award. A letter of support from the student's academic advisor and at least one other letter of support from anyone familiar with the student's academic endeavors must be submitted.
