The Herbert & Ollie Brook Fund was established by Herbert and Ollie Brook who emigrated from Europe and called Maui home. They felt so welcomed by the Maui Community they created this scholarship for graduating seniors of every high school in Maui County. The HCF requires the applicants to be in good academic standing or by maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. HCF will also give preference for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year if such recipient continues to meet the eligibility requirements and is in good academic standing. The donor requires the applicants to have a minimum 2.7 GPA. Preference will be given to students who can persevere and complete a program of study; and individuals who want to return to Maui County after completing their education or training in order to contribute to the community that formed them.
