The K.M. Hatano Scholarship Fund was created in 1987 through the generosity of Mr. Yasuji Hatano, President of Kokusai Motorcars Company of Japan. The scholarship was established to recognize men and women from Maui, Lanai and Molokai who have excelled academically and have shown leadership and community involvement. Preference is for recipients who were awarded in the immediate prior year. Preference will also be given to Business management or visitor industry majors.
