KU International Excellence Award and KU International Transfer Award Application is for international undergraduate students only. The KU International Excellence Award offers a full-tuition award valued at $25,000+. This award is is available for new freshmen and transfer students who begin studies in the fall 2023 term. To be considered, applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and be admitted for the upcoming fall semester. The KU International Transfer Award offers $3,000-$7,000 award for transfer students. To be considered, applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5. U.S. Permanent residents are not eligible to receive the KU IEA. Students must be F-1 or J-1 while attending KU to be eligible for the KU IEA. Two letters of recommendation are required.
