Margaret and William Ginder Scholarship

Description

Bill Ginder was curious and engaged, throughout his life, in a wide range of pursuits: reading, reciting literature to his family, music, tennis and gardening. As a child of the Great Depression, he started working as a young boy delivering the "Camas Post." Highly conscious of the value of a dollar, he invested his money well and taught his children to appreciate the value of hard work. Always, he was proud of the Clark County and Camas heritage he and his wife, Margaret, shared which stretched back six generations. Bill established this scholarship to help students without personal or family resources as long as they show academic or vocational potential and, especially, if they share his interest in economics or history. Applicants must be a graduating senior from Camas High School. Preference will be given to students intending to pursue a degree in Economics or History. Please visit the scholarship's website or contact the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington for more information.
