Marshall University offers a variety of merit-based scholarships to incoming freshman students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, with automatic consideration at the time of admission. The Marshall University Incoming Freshmen Honors College Scholarship is available to first-time freshmen students who are West Virginia residents, students who are classified as "Metro students," and non-West Virginia residents. In addition to a freshmen merit-based scholarship, students who meet the criteria and agree to accept admission into the Marshall University Honors College qualify to receive the additional Honors College Scholarship award.
