Description

The Mary Lou Washatka Scholarship is for students who are enrolled or will be enrolled at a four-year university, community college, or career/technical school in the United States in fall. Applicants must have been in the foster care system at some point since age 13 or later. They must also have shown a commitment to their community through a minimum 100 hours of meaningful community service. A document on official letterhead from a social worker indicating that the applicant is currently or have been previously in foster care since age 13 or later is required.

Eligibility Requirements

  • CheckmarkRestricted to female students
  • CheckmarkMust not be attending high school currently
  • CheckmarkMust study full-time
