NEF Scholarships are for Master's and Doctoral degree study in Nursing. Applicants must have current RN license or registration with current expiration date, from any state within the USA. They must also have current national professional nursing association membership with a current expiration date, such as the American Nurses Association, or specialty organization and/or evidence of international honor society membership like Sigma Theta Tau International. Applicants will be asked to upload a copy of their membership card. Proof of current citizenship or legal residency status must also be submitted. Master's degree applicants must be enrolled in a professionally accredited nursing program; and have completed at least 12 graded credits of the master's program at the time the application is submitted. Doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, EdD) applicants must have completed a master's degree; be enrolled in a professionally accredited nursing program; and have completed at least 12 graded credits of the program at the time the application is submitted. Accelerated BSN to Doctoral (PhD, DNP, EdD) applicants (includes students without a master's degree in nursing) must be enrolled in a professionally accredited nursing program; and have completed 45 graded credits of the program at the time the application is submitted. Three references are required. One reference must attest to your academic performance and achievements; one reference must attest to your employment performance and achievements; and one reference must attest to your professional achievements as a nurse leader.
