PAAC Academic Scholarships

Description

PAAC academic scholarships are available to public, private, and charter high school students in Hawaii who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to international affairs, and are actively involved with PAAC. The legacy of Eddie Tangen, a pioneer in the development of Hawaii's labor movement and past member of PAACs Board of Governors, is honored with a $300 Eddie Tangen Award given yearly in his name to one student in grade 9, 10, or 11 who has demonstrated interest in international affairs and is actively involved in PAAC. Meanwhile, four $1,000 scholarships under the Paul S. Honda Award are available to graduating high school seniors who can demonstrate a desire to pursue Asian Studies, International Relations, or a related field at the post-secondary level, and have been actively involved with PAAC.
