Stella Blum Student Research Grant

Description

The Stella Blum Student Research Grant is intended to assist the research of a current undergraduate or graduate student who is a member of the Costume Society of America and conducting original research in the field of North American costume. The grant has an additional stipend of up to $600 and a day-of-presentation registration fee, also funded by the CSA Endowment, is awarded to allow the recipient to present the completed research at a CSA National Symposium. The applicant must be a CSA member in good standing, must be a student matriculating, at the time of the funded research, in a degree program at an accredited institution, and must propose research projects in the field of North American costume. If the research proposal involves human subjects and/or interviews, appropriate Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval must be submitted before the initial grant payment is made. The Project Proposal must be 1000 words uploaded as a pdf addressing the topics mentioned in the program page. Kindly see the website for more information. There must be two (2) recommendations which could be downloaded from the website, one from the research project supervisor and another from someone familiar with the applicantÔÇÖs academic record, preferably a faculty member.
