The Chaikin, Sherman, Cammarata & Siegel, P.C. Ethiopian Heritage College Scholarship Fund was created in 2008 to support college-bound high school seniors in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The purpose of the fund is to find and then assist youngsters with few financial resources in their pursuit of higher education and a much-desired college degree. A $1,000 college scholarship will be awarded annually, and money will be provided to the student semiannually on or about August 16 and February 5 in $500.00 increments, up to a maximum total award of $4,000. The awardee must provide proof that they remain in good standing in an accredited college or university, and provide an official transcript demonstrating their grades for the prior semester order to receive each $500 distribution.
