Description

The University of Chicago University Merit Scholarships are awarded to students based on their outstanding academic achievement, extracurricular achievement, demonstrated leadership, and commitment to their communities. Merit awards are determined by a committee based on the application for admission without consideration of financial need. All first-year applicants are automatically considered for all available merit scholarships. Transfer students are not eligible for merit-based scholarships. Students are required to submit two recommendations from teachers who have taught them in an academic subject.
