Classical Music is one of 10 artistic disciplines in YoungArts' national competition. This discipline is open to orchestral instrumentalists, pianists, and composers. Applicants must be in grades 10-12 or 15-18 years of age on December 1 of the year they are applying. The strongest auditions demonstrate excellence in the craft of playing or writing, the ability to reveal the nuances of each work, versatility, and a truly personal style. There are different requirements for each instrument. It may include three video recordings of their performances and compositions. Please make sure to check it before submitting an application.
