Located on a beautiful New England campus in Framingham, Massachusetts, FSU is just 20 miles away from Boston. Graduate students take advantage of this proximity to Boston, which offers a variety of internships and job opportunities.

For the convenience of working students, graduate degree and certificate programs are offered on a part-time basis in the evening and on weekends.

Framingham State University offers master's degree prorams in business, nursing, education, food and nutrition, counseling psychology, health care administration, human resource management, and public administration. FSU also offers graduate programs for students living abroad.

Master of Business Administration

The Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree program at Framingham State University is designed for mid-level business professionals and managers who strive to increase their leadership skills in an increasingly global and technology-oriented environment. Students complete 12 courses and gain proficiency in 6 areas: managerial accounting, financial accounting, marketing, statistics, economics, and teamwork and the organization.

The M.B.A. program is a member of the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education, the premier professional accreditor for business programs in the world. It is also recognized by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation and is a member of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Students from all educational backgrounds participate in the program. However, all students must have completed courses in financial statement reporting and analysis; economic analysis; leadership; teamwork and organization; and statistical analysis for managers, all prior to beginning the 12 M.B.A. courses.

Prior experience is valued in the admission process. However, outstanding students without professional work experience may also be admitted. The program is also offered to English-speakers living abroad.

Graduates have obtained positions and promotions with a variety of national and international firms including Staples, EMC, Genzyme, Rodman and Rodman P.C., and RIC International.

Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology

FSU offers a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Counseling Psychology degree program on both a licensure track and a non-licensure track. Both tracks can be completed within 3 years on a part-time basis.

The licensure-track provides students with both practical counseling skills and knowledge of current theories, research, and counseling approaches. The program's 15 courses and culminating internship meet the qualifications for a Licensed Mental Counselor in Massachusetts. Graduates of the program have been very successful at obtaining positions at a variety of institutions, such as Pembroke Hospital, Dean College, Psychiatric Emergency Services (PES), South Bay Mental Health, Youth Opportunities Upheld (YOU Inc.), and Health Education Services.

The non-licensure track is a 40 credit hour program that furnishes students with a strong theoretical foundation in current theories, data, and research.

Master of Arts in Health Care Administration

The M.A. in Health Care Administration degree program is designed for people working in the health care industry who would like to pursue careers in administration, and for people already working in health care administration who seek the skills and knowledge necessary to support their advancement.
