The Vertical Aviation/WAI Commercial Helicopter Pilot Rating Scholarship is open to applicants who want to attain their commercial helicopter ratings. Applicants must already have their private pilot's license and be enrolled in a commercial helicopter rating program at an FAA-approved Part 141 school or international equivalent. Applicants must expect to receive your commercial helicopter pilot rating after January 1, 2022. If applicants receive their rating before this date, they are not eligible to apply. All applicants must be current WAI members with an expiration date of March 30, 2026 or later. Applicants must also submit two letters of recommendation. Letters should not be from family members.
