Orange County Clinical Psychology PsyD Degree Program

The Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology program is a full-time, residential program. The curriculum, while based on a small-group classroom model, offers a unique integration of psychological science, theory, and clinical practice. This method provides students with a logical and practical path for acquiring the expertise and credentials to be an effective clinical psychologist. The program emphasizes the scientific principles of psychology coupled with in depth clinical training opportunities. Students are taken beyond textbooks and classrooms and provided with real-world experience under the close mentorship of the faculty. Students are trained as generalists, with opportunities to choose concentrations in Child & Adolescent Psychology and Forensic Psychology. The degree provides a solid foundation that will be invaluable to the development of a career in clinical psychology.

Additional Opportunities

Along with the primary curriculum, students are also provided with many opportunities to engage in community outreach, attend extra-curricular colloquium presentations, study abroad opportunities, and scientific research. In fact, the ability to collaborate with faculty on professional presentations and publications is a significant component of the PsyD program.
