Master's Degrees	Entrance Exam We do not accept applications for terminal Master's degrees unless they are externally funded. GRE General required if it is available face-to-face or online in your country. (Check Baylor Graduate School and Physic Dept. websites for updates); GRE Physics strongly recommended. Comp Exam Required Thesis Alternate accepted MA requires 36 semester hours of graduate courses, including at least 18 hours at the 5000-level and an oral exam or Ph.D. qualifying exam. M.S. requires 30 semester hours of graduate courses and six hours of thesis.
Doctoral Degrees	Entrance Exam GRE General required (check Baylor Graduate School and Physic Dept. websites for updates on this); GRE Physics strongly recommended. Comp Exam Required Thesis Required Ph.D. requires 78 semester hours of graduate courses, including 12 semester hours of dissertation research, and passing of a Dissertation Defense. Passing of a Prelim Exam is required to become a Ph.D. Candidate.
