Accreditation and Rankings
Hofstra has been nationally ranked and recognized by a number of notable sources as a 'Best College,null including "Fiske Guide to Colleges," "Forbes" magazine, "The Princeton Review," and "Washington Monthly." "US News and World Report" has ranked three of Hofstra's colleges and schools as "Best Graduate Schools" in the nation. These highly ranked colleges and schools include the Frank G. Zarb School of Business, the School of Education, the School of Health Professions and Human Services, and the Maurice A. Deane School of Law. Hofstra's part-time MBA program has also been nationally ranked by "US News and World Report" and "Bloomberg BusinessWeek." In addition the online part-time MBA program has been consistently ranked by The Princeton Review. Graduate programs in the School of Health Professions and Human Services are nationally accredited by the Council of Rehabilitation Education (CORE), the American Arts Therapy Association (AATA), Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CCREP), the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) and the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). All Hofstra teacher education and educational leadership programs in the School of Education are accredited by the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC). The Frank G. Zarb School of Business is one of less than 10 percent of business schools in the world to hold dual accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
Graduate Studies at Hofstra University
At Hofstra, students choose from dynamic and purposeful programs, including an MBA in a variety of concentrations; MFA in Creative Writing; MS or MA in Biology; MS in Computer Science; MA in Public Relations; MA in Mental Health Counseling; and MSEd in Special Education. There are also a myriad of health and human services program offerings, including an MHA; MBA in Health Services Management; MPH; and MS in Physician Assistant Studies. Hofstra continually adds innovative programs and courses, designing them with you and your schedule in mind.
To accommodate students with full-time jobs and other responsibilities, graduate courses are offered in the evenings, on the weekends, and online. Online program offerings – which include an MBA in Finance, Strategic Business Management, and Strategic Health Care Management; MS in Computer Science; and MSEd in Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies – allow access to Hofstra’s world-class faculty, technology, and course work from the location of your choice, on your time.

Hofstra University is home to several unique academic institutes that push for advancements in research within their fields. Students have access to cutting-edge facilities, including the the Martin B. Greenberg Trading Room; WRHU-88.7FM Radio Hofstra University; a Big Data lab; a robotics and advanced manufacturing lab; a cell and tissue engineering lab; and a Cybersecurity and Innovation Resource Center.
Financial Aid Opportunities at Hofstra University
Per credit hour: $1,398 for 200-level and above courses; $1,430 for 200-level and above courses taken by graduate business students. Tuition rates for special programs (i.e. Audiology, Executive MBA, and Online MBA) can be found at hofstra.edu/tuition.
Graduate students also have several types of job opportunities available, including positions as graduate assistants, resident directors, and tutors. Graduate assistantships are part-time positions in an on-campus administrative office or student services area. Students in these positions may receive tuition remission and stipends or hourly wages. Eligible students may also receive work-study credit for their positions.
