About the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business

The Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business believes two things to be universally true: Business never stops reinventing itself, and neither should businesspersons. As a global, AACSB-accredited institution, Katz offers MBA, Executive MBA, and PhD degrees, as well as and specialized master's programs in accounting, business analytics, finance, marketing science, MIS, and supply chain management that are continually ranked among the world's best by independent publications. Led by a world-renowned faculty, the curriculum incorporates groundbreaking research, the entrepreneurial spirit, and an emphasis on experience-based learning. As part of the University of Pittsburgh, Katz students and faculty enjoy an abundance of opportunities for cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Leadership and Agility

The leadership network spans the globe: over 30,000 Pitt Business alumni live in more than 90 countries. Through the Career Management Center, Katz builds partnerships with leading companies and assists students in realizing their full career potential. Katz considers the City of Pittsburgh to be more than its address—the city defines the school. Katz shares the city's spirit of resiliency and collaboration, and is a partner in its progress. Established in 1960, but with history dating to 1907, Katz is the first school to offer a one-year MBA and was among the first to offer an Executive MBA. Katz believe that success favors the agile, which is why students are immersed in real-world experiences so they graduate ready to build, lead, and contribute immediately.
