Description

The Competitive Scholarship was created to encourage out-of-state students who have demonstrated high academic achievement in high school to enroll in New Mexico public institutions of higher education. Non-residents of New Mexico or non-citizens of the United States are eligible to apply. Students shall contact their institution's financial aid office for eligibility period, where to apply, when to apply, and for the application instruction. Recipients of at least $100 in Competitive Scholarship funds per semester are eligible to be considered residents for the purpose of assessing tuition and fees.
