For many high school students Advanced Placement courses represent a great way to potentially earn college credit, as well as prepare for the strenuous academic environment of higher education. But what are the real benefits of taking an AP class? And can you earn college credit by taking the AP course in high school but not the dreaded AP exam.

Peterson’s sat down with Paul Eppard, Counseling Coordinator at Grandview High School in Centennial, CO. A counselor of twenty-plus years, Paul shares his AP insights and some important tips for maintaining balance between your heavy AP workload and other aspects of your high school career.
