Introduction | Western New England University

Established in 1919, the Western New England University is a private, coeducational university located in Springfield, Massachusetts in the northeastern region of the United States.

A leader in preparing students for careers in the dynamic global environment, the university has a diverse range of programs from engineering, science, and pharmacy to the arts, business, and law. It consists of five academic schools that provide career-oriented programs and experiential learning.

Western New England became a university in 2011. The main campus has expanded from its original 34 acres to 215 acres, containing 28 major buildings and numerous athletic and recreational fields.

The U.S.News & World Report ranks Western New England University in the top tier of the Regional Universities -- North category of colleges and universities offering a full range of undergraduate and master's programs.
