Description

The Chateaubriand Fellowship in Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) is offered by the Cultural Services of the French Embassy. US citizenship is not required; however, French citizens are not eligible. Applicants must obtain a letter of agreement from their advisor(s) in the U.S., as well as a letter of invitation from a professor affiliated with a French university or research institution. The applicantÔÇÖs US and French advisors must agree to co-supervise part of their thesis. Successful applicants will receive a monthly stipend of Ôé¼1500, a round-trip ticket to France, and health insurance for the duration of the fellowship.
