Peterson’s launched a new online tutoring feature for subscribers of its 3-month and 6-month test prep subscriptions. The new add-on service provides additional value to test takers who may be struggling with a concept, math problem, technical question, or writing assignment.
What’s Included
Three-month subscribers will receive one tutoring session per month while six-month subscribers can access two tutoring sessions per month, plus one writing lab submission.
How can the writing lab be utilized? Writing labs are a specialized opportunity to have a tutor analyze your writing for cohesion, clarity, and persuasiveness, and can be used to help you write or review your:
- College application essays
- Personal statements
- Resume
- Scholarship essays
- Book report
- Exam short or long answer responses (such as the AP exam)
Tutoring Sessions
Each online tutoring session is 30 minutes long and on-demand 24/7, 365 days a year. Connect with an online tutor within three minutes or less. No appointment is necessary to contact an online tutor, however, you may schedule time with a specific tutor if preferred.
Tutoring sessions are held via webcam where you will also be able to access a virtual whiteboard to see your problem explained step-by-step to help solidify learning.
Students have the option to rate their tutor after each session. We consistently achieve an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars.
To connect with a tutor, simply log into your account and click on the “Online Tutoring” button in the top navigation under the “My Account” dropdown.
