AP Chemistry Exam Basics

Each AP exam consists of two sections: multiple choice and free response. The AP Chemistry exam multiple-choice section includes 60 questions and accounts for 50 percent of the exam score. The free response section includes seven questions that you will need to respond to with written answers and accounts for 50 percent of the exam score. Students have three hours and fifteen minutes to complete the exam.
